Israeli troops kill four more Palestinians in border protest

Hamas did not accuse Israel of killing him but called Batsh a "martyr" - a word it usually uses for people killed by Israeli forces.

In a tweet, United Nations envoy to the Middle East Nikolay Mladenov called the killing of a 15-year-old Palestinian boy during Friday's clashes along the Gaza border "outrageous" and demanded that the incident be investigated.

"These cowardly [Hamas] leaders use women and children as human shields so that they can continue digging tunnels and carry out terrorist attacks against Israel, ' Lieberman said in a statement, adding "we already saw how they used UNRWA facilities as well as hospitals and mosques for terrorist purposes".

Israeli army gunfire killed a 15-year-old boy and two young men, aged 24 and 25, in northern Gaza, rescue workers said, and a 29-year-old Palestinian was shot dead in the south of the coastal enclave.

Palestinian media outlets reported that three protesters were killed by IDF fire during Friday's clashes, which were significantly smaller in scale than in previous weeks.

"How does the killing of a child in #Gaza today help #peace?"

U.S. Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt put out his own tweet: "A full investigation by Israel of Mohammed Ayoub's death is underway so that we will be able to understand what happened".

The Israeli military said on Saturday it would investigate why a 15-year-old Palestinian was shot in the head during clashes along the Gaza-Israel border on Friday.

Numerous reports quoted initial reports by the New Straits Times over details of the killing, including that two men were waiting for Fadi on a road which he normally takes as he walked to a nearby Surau in Setapak for subuh prayers. "Children must be protected from violence, not exposed to it". "This tragic incident must be investigated".

The Gaza Health Ministry says 445 Palestinians have been wounded in protests on the Gaza-Israel border, including 96 who were wounded by Israeli army fire.

The defense minister urged the citizens of Gaza not to approach the security fence dividing Israel and the Gaza Strip.

Friday's demonstration was the fourth in as many weeks of a planned, weeks-long sit-in dubbed the Great March of Return.

Israel says it has only opened fire when necessary to guard its border and prevent violence, but no Israelis have been wounded and its open-fire rules have come under scrutiny.

Gaza's Health Ministry says 83 Palestinians have been injured in protests on the Gaza-Israel border, including 26 who were wounded by Israeli army fire. The numbers could not be verified by Israel.

A senior Palestinian official on Saturday called for an worldwide investigation into Israeli violence against Palestinians.
