Tottenham set for Gunners at Wembley

Petr Cech of Arsenal shows appreciation to the fans after the Premier League match between Arsenal and Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has responded to claims he has condoned diving, by suggesting football is about trickery and creativity, but not cheating.

Spurs have dropped 37 points from leading positions in Premier League games against Arsenal - more than any team has against another in the competition's history.

The Spurs attacker will be hoping he is involved in a number of celebratory handshakes this weekend when his side welcome Arsenal to Wembley Stadium on Saturday for the second north London derby of the season.

The 25-year-old has been an unsung hero in Spurs' continuous rise since his arrival from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, netting 22 Premier League goals since the beginning of last season.

Arsene Wenger's side has struggled in recent weeks, losing to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, and Bournemouth in the league, but they come into this game having thrashed Everton 5-1 following two wins, 4-1 over Crystal Palace and 2-1 over Chelsea, while they also lost 3-1 away to Swansea.

Spurs are now 12 games unbeaten at Wembley, where they are based while the club's new stadium at White Hart Lane is completed.

Spurs, on the other hand, eased to a comfortable 2-0 victory over the Gunners in their last north London derby at White Hart Lane in April 2017.

When asked about Pochettino's response to the Dele dive, he said: "How far was it an apology for diving?"

The acquisition of former Borrusia Dortmund duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan is proving to be an awesome deal for Wenger's men who are pushing for a top-four finish having missed out of a place last season for the first time in 20 years.

Mauricio Pochettino's side are unbeaten in eight league games but have drawn three of the last five.

"The first few nights you don't sleep because everything is completely different". "For different reasons, it is tough". Now we start to feel that it's home, when before it was just a new house.

"Before, England was a little bit of a paradise for football".

This was not entirely true of Tottenham even five years ago, with an exception made for the Tim Sherwood era.

He added: 'But now the owners are different. Our new look forward line has a chance to perform on a big stage away from home against our local rivals. It's hard to adapt for the fans because they're so spread out and they were always in the same place all their life, with the same people next to you, in the same bar before the game. When English football started to integrate more with European football, England started to share the Latin culture more. "All of us are creatures of habit".
