Nadal conquers frustrated Kyrgios to win 75th career title

'I think I've found my purpose' - Nick Kyrgios reveals charity aim inspired by cancer victim

Kyrgios has proved a tricky customer in the past for Nadal, who needed three sets to see off Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-finals, and the Australian held a 2-2 head-to-head record with the world number one entering the Beijing showpiece.

Despite crushing Nick Kyrgios yesterday in the Beijing title, Rafael Nadal sang the praises of the Australian Open, calling him one of the toughest players to face on the tour, that is when he's not tanking.

Rafael Nadal beat Nick Kyrgios of Australia 6-2, 6-1 Sunday in the China Open final to win his sixth ATP title of the year, and Caroline Garcia defeated soon-to-be-No.

Despite his new-found direction, Kyrgios said he was not trying to make out all was now well in his life, and at his age, he still had a lot to learn.

Croft added how Nadal's playing style compared to Roger Federer might have burdened the latter half of his career but through hard work, the 31-year-old is still flourishing with many years left in the sport.

Unseeded Garcia edged Romanian Halep 6-4 7-6 (7-3) for her second successive title after victory at the Wuhan Open. The victory also allowed him to surpass 60 wins in a season for the ninth time.

"I was playing very high intensity the whole match, changing the directions and not making many mistakes", Nadal said.

Kyrgios was back in the spotlight after he capitulated 6-2, 6-1 to the Spanish world number one in Beijing on Sunday, during which he swore, argued with the umpire and was docked a point.

The mercurial Kyrgios is known as much for his volatile temper as his prodigious talent.

"Finally I won this event again", said Nadal after his comprehensive win.

The result over fellow rising star Zverev pushed him to 15th spot in the ATP Race To London and contest the ATP finals in November. I think I've found my objective in the last couple of months.

Afterwards, the 16-time Grand Slam victor, who added the French Open and US Open to his tally in 2017, said: "In 2005 when I won here I never thought that in 2017 I would still be playing tennis!"
