Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner's Private Email Domains Under Investigation

Use of personal devices widespread in Trump's West Wing

Ivanka Trump also used a personal email account to conduct White House business, according to emails released by the advocacy group American Oversight.

As winter is coming, it is important to note this wasn't the only ski trip by Ivanka and Jared during President Trump's short time in office.

Even if Kushner used the personal account for mostly incidental items, as his lawyer insists, simply by virtue of being so close to the president everything he says and does is of interest to other parties. Foreign spies could also transfer stolen data via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the NSA reportedly warned.

The chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Republican Trey Gowdy of SC, and the senior Democrat on the panel, Elijah Cummings of Maryland, this week sent a letter to the Trump White House and 24 federal agencies asking for names of any "non-career officials" who have used private email accounts or set up alias accounts to conduct government business. "All non-personal emails were forwarded to his official address and all have been preserved in any event".

NSA officials told White House aides that they should assume that their private email accounts have already been hacked by cyberspies. Now, days later, the Politico is reporting that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner's private email use are now the subject of an internal probe by the White House. If hackers were to break into his email and cell phone, adversaries could steal information related those areas. CNN obtained a letter that the chair and vice chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence sent Kushner after they had learned through news reports that his attorney had confirmed that he had sent and received about 100 e-mails from a personal address hosted on a private server.

Politico's source said Reince Priebus, Trump's former chief of staff, as well as Homeland Security adviser Tom Bossert attended the classified meeting.

"The Committee was concerned to learn of this additional email account from the news media, rather than from you, in your closed staff interview", they said. Predictably, the news prompted a response resentful response from former Hillary Clinton, who was repeatedly criticized by President Trump during the 2016 election campaign for her own private email use.
