Police Release Dashcam Footage Of Tiger Woods Being Arrested

Footage of Tiger Woods' arrest in Florida shows the golfer stumbling

He was then booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 7 a.m. Jail records indicate he was released from custody just before 11 a.m.

Police in Jupiter, Florida, released dashcam video Wednesday from Tiger Woods' DUI arrest, which shows the responding officer questioning the golfer and conducting a field sobriety test on him after he was found sleeping in his auto. He said he exchanged texts with Woods on Monday and that Woods told him no alcohol was involved. That is because that footage could be used against Woods.

He reportedly became "arrogant" when stopped and now faces a DUI charge and the embarrassing prospect of dashcam footage of his arrest being releases.

The affidavit said Woods failed a sobriety test on the side of the road because he couldn't keep his balance or follow instructions.

Police on Wednesday morning released the 98-minute video as well as photos and police chatter from the scene of the six-lane Florida road where he was found asleep at the wheel of his damaged black 2015 Mercedes on Monday morning (Monday night NZT). Prior to the arrest, police found the athlete asleep behind the wheel of his parked vehicle. The brake lights are on, and the right turn signal is blinking. Both tire rims on the driver's side of the auto had visible damage, while the front and rear tires on that side were flat.

Woods said he did and then said he was told: "Not to sing the national anthem backwards".

"You don't have to walk anywhere", an officer tells him.

After struggling to pass the tests, Woods was eventually placed in handcuffs and arrested. A breath test issued at the scene showed Woods had a blood alcohol level of 0.00 percent.

In a statement, Woods blamed the incident on a combination of prescription drugs.

"I didn't realise the mix of medications had affected me so strongly".

Slurring his words as he tried to answer questions, Woods is barely able to stand up and weaves and bobs. When asked to raise his right hand, he started to raise his left hand when the officer corrected him.

Woods said, "No" when asked if he had been drinking.

"Now that one is, too", the officer adds.

Another video of the initial traffic stop shows the view out the front of an officer's auto as he pulls up to Woods' vehicle, which is nearly halfway out of the right lane, sticking into a bike lane. He also seems to think he is in California, and fails multiple field sobriety tests.
