Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus sing Crowded House at Manchester benefit concert

Some concertgoers clutched signs reading "For our angels" in tribute to the 22 people who were killed and dozens more injured when a suicide bomber set off a blast after Grande's concert at Manchester Arena on May 22.

There have been calls for United States singer Ariana Grande to be awarded an honorary Damehood following her organisation of the Manchester benefit concert held in memory of the victims of the bomb attack last Tuesday.

British singer Marcus Mumford kicked off the show and held a moment of silence before performing.

Grande performed "One Last Time" toward the end of the concert and will be re-releasing the song as a charity single, with worldwide proceeds going toward the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.

"Together we will stand and we'll hold your hand".

Always the entertainer, Williams was the ideal choice to relax any (understandable) tensions in the crowd; his irrepressible, laddish charm saw fans singing along to a tailored rendition of "Strong" ahead of his emotional song "Angels" that acquired obvious new meaning inside the stadium. Ariana Grande opted to perform more of her upbeat hits as opposed to her melancholy ballads.

Perry, whose performance included Roar, said, "Love conquers fear and love conquers hate...choose love even when it's hard".

After the performance, Grande hugged Natasha. "And this love that you choose will give you strength, and it's our greatest power".

"I want to take this moment to honour the people that were lost", Bieber can be heard saying.

"The only thing we'll feel here tonight is love, and positivity". "Everybody say, 'We honor you.' Everybody say, 'We love you'".

"Just a week ago she called me", he continued, before bringing Grande on stage. "Before we go any further, I wanna thank y'all from the bottom of my heart for being here today", she later said to the audience.

Throughout the night Grande performed her hits Be Alright and Break Free, as well as her duet Better Days with Victoria Monet.

David Beckham sent a heartfelt message to those attending the One Love Manchester concert, arranged by Ariana Grande, at Old Trafford cricket ground on Sunday, urging them to celebrate the spirit of the English city.

'Good even Manchester, ' singer Gary Barlow screamed.

She told the audience, "Manchester, we're gonna be all right". Authorities have said the attack started with a van plowing into pedestrians and then involved three men using large knives to attack people in bars and restaurants at a nearby market.
